We're here for you when you need us most.

Dental emergencies can happen at any time and often when you least expect them. At Copley Dental, we understand the urgency and discomfort that comes with dental emergencies. That's why we offer 24/7 emergency dental services to ensure you get the care you need, when you need it most.

Common Dental Emergencies We Treat

Severe Toothache

Persistent, throbbing pain that doesn't respond to over-the-counter pain medication.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Time is critical! Save the tooth in milk and call us immediately for the best chance of reimplantation.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Save any pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply cold compress to reduce swelling.

Lost Filling or Crown

Keep the crown if possible and avoid chewing on that side. Temporary dental cement can help.

Dental Abscess

Serious infection requiring immediate attention. Look for pimple-like swelling on gums.

Soft Tissue Injuries

Cuts or tears to lips, tongue, or gums that won't stop bleeding after 15 minutes of pressure.

Emergency First Aid Tips

For Severe Pain:

  • Rinse with warm salt water
  • Use dental floss to remove trapped food
  • Apply cold compress externally
  • Take over-the-counter pain medication as directed

For Knocked-Out Tooth:

  • Handle tooth by crown only, not the root
  • Gently rinse with water if dirty (don't scrub)
  • Try to reinsert into socket if possible
  • If not, store in milk or saliva
  • Get to our office within 30 minutes

For Bleeding:

  • Apply direct pressure with clean gauze
  • Hold for 15-20 minutes without peeking
  • Sit upright and avoid lying flat
  • Avoid hot liquids and alcohol
